RURAL VOLUNTEER PROGRAM(RuVP), GHANA (Volunteer, Tourism and Cultural Exhange)

NAZ UNITRAVEL AGENCY in Collaboration with MERIOSCAR FOUNDATION (NGO) take immense pleasure to introducing our RURAL VOLUNTEER PROGRAM which has been able to meet the cultural and educational needs of volunteers in-home and abroad.

We have successfully for the past years been able to fulfill the above services through our rich experience in customer servicing. That, we have our success and reputation on safe, reliable and affordable services we provide to our volunteers at all time. That our services and packages enrich you with much experience than any other average tourist.

The main objectives:

Target Groups include:
1. Rural Ghanaian Children (Orphans and Street Children)
2. Unemployed Rural Youth
3. Community Women (Widows)

2. Orphanage Homes
3. Rural community

(Rural Volunteer Program)
Is a professional program for volunteers from USA and Europe to offer their kind services in Ghana between 1 to 12months.

The programs attempt to create an atmosphere where the children from deprived schools experience the fun and excitement of life via exposure to nationals from foreign countries. The participants teach basic English or help in developing creative programs as music,dance, sports, ICT etc.

The participants live and share common values, cultures and ideas with the host family for a maximum of 12months. This has proven to be the most efficient means of understanding others from different cultural backgrounds. The program has been very successful with more and more participants seeking to have first hand experience of cultures around the world and may opt to stay with families in the host culture.

The expression of love, care and understanding shared by host families and participants become a vehicle of life changing experiences.

Life in Africa is different. This is to the credit of insightful knowledge the homestay offers during meal sharing, exchanging of ideas at the dinner table and learning to hand-wash clothes.

NB: We still have volunteer packages for volunteers/tourists who want to spend less than 1 month in Ghana.


GENERAL REQUIREMENTs:
Program Timing: All year round (Flexible)
Working hrs: 25hrs per week(may include saturdays)
Language Requirement: English
Health Requirement: must be physically fit
Age Requirement:N.A


PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:
Volunteer in Educational institutions,orphanage homes and community projects.
Program Location: Eastern Region - Ghana
Areas: Teaching English Languages to lower class, ICTs, General sports, working in Community Health Centers.

Weekends : Exploring other areas; local tourist centers, or music, dance and drumming lessons

Orientation: ***
A comprehensive overnight orientation about Ghana,basic local language training, Health and safety discurssion, Introduction to African Music and Dance lessons during orientation

Accomodation:**
Free accomodation with host families, private room, Breakfast and dinner are provided.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Sharing your language with the pupils on an agreed schedule with your host institution.
